For this activity we are going to become more familiar with some of these amazing indigenous communities. Please click on the links below to learn more about these fascinating groups.
Once you have finished learning about these groups, please choose the two that interest you the most.

On your blog tell us the names of the two groups that you chose and then tell us at least two interesting facts about each group. To earn full points, you must provide two facts about both groups - 4 facts in total.

  1. Hey Bridget
Great job on this activity. I like how you have done it in a slide show so there is a slide for each group. Another thing I like about this slide is the flags that you have put down the bottom of the first slide. Had you heard of either of these groups before you did this activity?
    Keep it up

  2. Kia Ora Bridget!

This is such a cool activity! Did you enjoy it? I have definitely learnt about lots of different indigenous groups.

You have picked two very interesting facts about the Australian Aboriginal People. I didn’t know that they could go to jail for speaking their native language. I think that things have changed quite a bit since then. I know that in some Australian schools they teach their students a lot about the aboriginal culture and customs. What are some other things you would like to know about the Aboriginal people?

The Papuan People have such an interesting culture! I didn’t know that there were so many different languages spoken in Papua New Guinea! It would be amazing if someone could speak them all!

What was your favourite part of this activity? What was the most interesting fact you have learnt?

    Well done on this post!

    Matilda :)

    1. Hi Matilda, Thanks for commenting on my blog!
I did enjoy doing this activity, I enjoy learning about different cultures.

I didn't know that either until I read the link, I'm glad that was ages ago. I think that's good that Australian schools teach the history/language of the Aboriginal people. I would like to know how many Aboriginal people are in Australia.

I also didn't know there were so many languages until I read a fact page. I wish I could speak more than one language fluently, It would be really cool if someone could speak them all.

I think my favourite part of the activity was getting to learn about these cultures, the most interesting fact I learnt would probably be that in Papua New Guinea there is 840 languages.

      - Bridget :)
