SLJ Day 2 Activity 2: One Small Step For Man

For this activity, let’s imagine that you were Neil Armstrong. On your blog, write a short poem describing how you felt when you first set foot on the moon.

For this activity I have chosen to try write a Cinquain poem, I have never done a poem like this before so it might not be the best.

  1. Hi Bridget

My name is Caitlyn and for the summer I'm commenting on your blogs for the Summer Learning Journey. I'm looking forward to reading and commenting on your blog.

Great job on this blog post! I think this is a great Cinquain poem especially since it is your first time writing one! I really like the 3rd lines "Is There Aliens There?", because your asking a question and it makes the poem sound cool when the reader reads it.

Again, great job with this post and keep up the good work! I look forward to commenting on you blog again,

    Caitlyn :)

    1. Hi Caitlyn, thanks for commenting on my blog! I'm not the best at writing poems, plus I never really write poems but thanks for saying it's good. I will keep taking my time on my posts so they aren't bad quality.

  2. Hi Bridget

My name is Allie and I am part of the team commenting on your blog over the summer. I see you have a comment from Caitlyn. She is one of our Year 9 commenters this year. She has completed the programme in previous years.
Well done with your poem, I love it! I really like that it kind of just leaves you hanging with the 'first step'

I am so impressed that you have attributed you image with a link. This is a really important part of using images from the internet. You will find as you go through High School that you will have to do this with all your work.

Keep up the great work. I hope that you will have a Happy Christmas and enjoy your summer holiday.

    Until next time

    Allie :)

    1. Hi Allie, thanks for commenting on my blog! Thats cool to see you have a year 9 commenting as well. Personally I'm not the biggest fan of poems but I did enjoy trying to write one. I wasn't the best at remembering to link images at first but I've got better. I also hope you have a great Christmas, I will also enjoy my holidays.
      -Bridget :)
