Weekend Recount

In the weekend I played a game of leauge we versed Hokitika and we won. I got a player of the day in boths grades in the Under 10's and Under 12's. We lost our game in the Under 12's but it was all right.On Thursday I played a game of hockey and our team won 3-2. On Sunday I helped out on the farm and we weigh some cows. When we got home we had lunch and I played on the wii, while Hamish, Mum and Dad went out to go pick up some big tree logs. Then Hamish came inside and we played on the wii together. After that we didn't really do much and that was my weekend.

Demon Dentist Book Review and Movie!

For my response Zak, Tess and I decided to write a response to the book Demon Dentist, For our creative response we made a Demon Dentist movie. First we wrote a response on paper, then proofreaded it then we got to get to making the film. I enjoyed getting the choice to do a response to what ever we wanted to make a response to. One of the good things was that we were aloud to bring coustumes and work in a group. I hope you enjoy my response and movie.

Demon  Dentist  book  review

Demon Dentist by David Walliams is a book about a young brave boy called Alfie who has never been to the dentist and has disgusting rotten teeth. He lives in a small town with his dad. One day when Alfie goes to school the new dentist comes to visit. Alfie and his friend Gabz notice something suspicious about the new dentist Miss Root. Alfie and Gabz find out someone is taking teeth from underneath childrens pillows at night. The children are expecting a pleasant present from the tooth fairy but find ghastly things instead.

Demon Dentist is a great intriguing book that will make you want to keep reading until the end.

Demon Dentist is a great book with lots of missions and adventures. One of the missions I really like is when Alfie, Raj and Gabz are in Alfie’s room. Alfie puts his tooth underneath his pillow and he finds a moving eyeball. They also have another mission when they find out who is leaving the present’s, read the book to find out more about the missions.

What I like about Demon Dentist is how crazy,funny and controlled.  One of the crazy and funny parts in Demon Dentist is when Winne drives her moped inside the school and up the stairs chasing Alfie because he doesn’t want to go to the dentist (Miss Root). Another crazy part is when Miss Root and her cat jump out of a pot of acid and come out as skeletons.

Demon Dentist is a really intriguing book. One of the intriguing parts in Demon Dentist is about the mysterious person taking the teeth, that children leave and get horrible ghastly presents, it is intriguing because you want to find out who it is.  Another intriguing thing is the title it will make you want to read it because most people are afraid of dentists and this book and reading it will be totally worth it.

Overall I think Demon Dentist is a great book and will leave you on the edge of your seat.

Weekend Recount

On Friday my hockey game was canceled due to the weather and I got my hair cut a bit shorter. On Saturday we went over to Christchurch and watched my brother play a game of rugby, Shaun's team won and we went out for lunch after Shaun's game. My leauge game got canceled I was kind of glad because I wasn't going to be there but that means I still get to play next week. On Sunday we didn't really do much but we moved the cows down the road and Hamish and I played lots of games of ping pong. We found out for the school holidays we are going to have a lot of family and friends visit in the middle week. We also might be going up to Westport for a bit of a holiday.
